Unusual Acts

by Frank Sabatini Jr.

At nearly every turn of the corner at Seaport Village on April 18 and 19, pedestrians will encounter an array of exhilarating sideshows: comedic jugglers, stunt performers, flame eaters and musicians droning on their didjeridoos, a wind instrument originating from early Aboriginals. The event, which is San Diego’s third Busker Festival, allows audiences to vote on their favorite mind-bending performances. The grounds will also feature two stages with additional main acts. The festival is free and runs from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Tips to the “Buskers” are appreciated.
