Nurture Your Holiday Spirit

Follow these five steps to keep your spirit alive and flowing during the holidays.

1. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be happy and chipper during this time. If you’re feeling blue, take some time for yourself.

2. Choose to spend time with people who truly let you be yourself. You’ll feel renewed and energized when you do.

3. Studies show again and again how much exercise improves your mood and calms your nerves. Get moving every day.

4. Don’t overburden yourself with too many goals. Aim for two a day, which is usually manageable.

5. Drink responsibly during the holidays. The first couple of drinks may make you feel elated, but any more, and the depressive effects may take their toll.
